I. Controlled Objects
The controlled objects consist of an experimental platform, a stainless steel water tank, a three-tank series plexiglass water tank, a jacketed stainless steel atmospheric pressure boiler, stainless steel piping, and the controlled objects themselves.
- Experimental Platform: The experimental platform’s reference dimensions are 1660mm780mm1800mm, constructed entirely of welded stainless steel. It includes a three-tank series plexiglass water tank and a jacketed stainless steel atmospheric pressure boiler. A stainless steel tabletop with a base plate can be installed to mount detection sensors, actuators, piping, etc.
- Experimental Platform: The control system is installed on the experimental platform.
- External stainless steel water tank and water pump; the entire frame is mounted on casters, forming a single unit. 4. Three-tank series water tank made of acrylic glass:
① Two-tank series water tank made of imported acrylic glass: Upper tank (200mm long * 200mm wide * 400mm high), middle tank (200mm long * 200mm wide * 400mm high), and lower tank (200mm long * 200mm wide * 400mm high). The upper, middle, and lower tanks are connected in series. Each tank has an overflow pipe, a drain pipe, valves, and a pressure/level sensor interface. - Stainless steel atmospheric pressure heating boiler container: Inner tank Φ100×500 (for dynamically heated water), with a single-phase 1.8KW electric heating element, jacket Φ150×400 (with insulation cotton). The heating boiler container is fully enclosed, and a Pt100 temperature sensor is installed in the inner tank.
II. System Power
- Three-phase stainless steel circulating water pump: Adjustable power, can form a power flow regulation system of stainless steel pump + electric regulating valve + electromagnetic flow meter, or a power flow regulation system of stainless steel pump + frequency converter + electromagnetic flow meter.
- Boiler heating power system composed of temperature control and pressure regulation module + radiator: Fully isolated single-phase AC thyristor pressure regulation module; control signal: 4-20mA DC; heating ring power: 1800W, 220VAC.
III. Sensors, Actuators, and Others
- Flow sensor: Turbine flow meter (equipped with transmitter), rated flow 0.2-1.2m³/h, measurement accuracy ±1.0%, 4-20mA standard signal output;
- Liquid level sensor: Diffused silicon liquid level sensor, used to detect the liquid level in the upper, middle, and lower water tanks respectively. Additionally, a diffused silicon pressure sensor is added to the heating boiler vessel to detect the vessel pressure during constant pressure water supply experiments. The main components include:
- Level transmitter: 4-20mA standard signal output, 0.5-level measurement accuracy, wide applicability, high precision, high-temperature qualitative measurement, high reliability, compact structure, easy installation, and low zero drift;
- Temperature sensor: Pt100 RTD temperature transmitter. Used to detect the inner tank temperature of a jacketed stainless steel atmospheric pressure heating boiler;
- Variable frequency drive: Used to regulate the water supply pressure and flow rate of the variable frequency power branch;
- Electric regulating valve: Equipped with an electric regulating valve, rated flow rate of 0.28-0.30 cubic meters per hour, 4-20mA signal input. Used to regulate the water supply pressure and flow rate of the electric regulating valve power branch;
- Inductive principle unit: Provides a transparent, visible, and detachable inductive principle unit, with all components within the unit allowing 360° observation. To significantly reduce consumable costs and achieve reusable maintenance, the inductor principle unit employs a visible and detachable process. Two or more coils from the finished inductor principle unit are independently separated from a transparent material and placed in two or more different locations on a demonstration table. All disassembled coils are then individually installed and fixed within the transparent material, assembling into a complete inductor principle unit. After installation, the installation is tested to ensure complete fixation until a power-on test is conducted to obtain the inductor unit’s measurement data.
IV. Upper-Level Process Control System and Others
- S7-200 PLC Control System
The PLC host is a Siemens S7-200 series; - Intelligent Instrument Control System
The intelligent controller integrates various algorithms, adjusting various parameters of the instrument control algorithm according to the site conditions to achieve the desired control effect. The instrument with communication capabilities communicates with the upper-level computer’s software platform. Various instrument parameters and process values are entered into the industrial control configuration software’s database. Combined with the configured flow chart and operation interface, parameters can be adjusted and process values recorded and analyzed on the upper-level computer. - DDC Control System
The DDC control system must meet two requirements: one using an external data acquisition module (RS485 communication data acquisition module and computer algorithm software); the other using an industrial PC and a data acquisition board with an ISA or PCI slot. - Data Acquisition Software
① Analog input channels should use BNC interfaces or MTE cables for connection, with a sampling rate of not less than 100 MSa/s, a resolution of not less than 12 bits, and a bandwidth of not less than 30 MHz; the voltage input range should be not less than ±25V;
② Includes not less than 2 analog output channels, which can be used for waveform generators and network analyzers, etc.;
③ Analog output channels should use BNC interfaces or MTE cables for connection, with a refresh rate of not less than 100 MSa/s, a resolution of not less than 12 bits, a bandwidth of not less than 8MHz, and a voltage output range of not less than ±5V;
